New Homecoming Football Opponent

The Apprentice School Athletic Department announces a change in their opponent for next week's Homecoming Football game on Saturday, October 19th. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Louisburg College (NC) will not be able to travel and have officially forfeited the game. The Builders will now play host to the Virginia Titans, a semipro football team based out of Midlothian, Virginia in an Exhibition game. The Titans are members of the Mason Dixon Football League and were founded in 2012.

"I am not at liberty to discuss the reasons why, but unfortunately Louisburg College had to forfeit our game. We explored other options and no matter how we diced it, their internal challenges prevented them from making the trip next week. We have no hard feeling towards Louisburg. Thankfully we had a Plan B and the Lord worked out." Director of Athletics, Michael W. Allen stated. "With that said, I first must commend Coach John Davis and his staff for working diligently to find this replacement game. You can imagine our concern with it being Homecoming Weekend.  Secondly, we are extremely appreciative of the Virginia Titans for stepping up and filling this last-minute hole in our schedule.

Kick off will remain at 1:00 pm and keeping with tradition, there will be many pregame activities and festivities for Homecoming Weekend beginning at approximately 12:00 pm at Apprentice Field. The Apprentice School Student Association (ASSA) will also be crowning their 2019 Homecoming King & Queen at halftime.

Come out and cheer on your Builders! #AnchorsUp
