NEWPORT NEWS - The Apprentice School Department of Athletics has announced the creation of a department Instagram page Thursday morning.

The account went live Thursday morning under the handle @GoBuilderSports. It is the second official social media account for the department.

"Being on Instagram allows us to promote our student-athletes in another way," said Sports Information Director Walker McCrary. "Having the ability to tell their stories on another platform gives more publicity to our department and our athlete's stories, furthering the reach of the Apprentice School."

Fans can download the Instagram app to their phones through either the Google Play or App Store and sign up for a free account to follow @GoBuilderSports. Fans are also encouraged to follow the official Twitter account of the Builders at the same handle.
