MURFREESBORO, NC - The Apprentice School closed out its regular season on Wednesday with a 10-1 loss at Division II Chowan University in Murfreesboro, N.C. This was a makeup of an April 22 postponed game at Chowan.
The Builders scored their lone run in the fourth inning as junior J.D. Drewry started with a single and advanced on a single from Jonathan Dehoux. Freshman Dory Fields followed with a single to right field to score Drewry cutting the early deficit to 2-1.
Sophomore Kenny Eanes was the top hitter for the Builders going 2-for-3 as the Builders had six hits in the game.
Next up for the Builders will be the 2008 USCAA Baseball National Championships at War Memorial Stadium starting on May 13.
