HAMPTON, VA. -- The Apprentice School baseball team returned to action Tuesday night after a nine-day layoff due to inclement weather and defeated Thomas Nelson CC 18-0 at War Memorial Stadium.

Andrew Hooper topped the hitting show for the Builders (16-7) going 4-for-4 with four RBIs in the game as the Builders banged out 20 hits.  Jonathan Dehoux was 3-for-4 with three runs scored and drove in three, while Devorn Lake was 3-for-3 with two runs scored and three RBIs.

Apprentice School put five runs across in the first as Dory Fields singled in a pair.  In the second, Hooper's double down the left field line plated a pair of runs in another five-run inning.  Run scoring singles from Andrew yonta, Lake and Hooper helped score three of the four runs in the third inning, while Josh Tuck and Dehoux hit back-to-back home runs in a four-run fourth inning.

Daniel Lutz was the winning pitcher throwing five innings and striking out eight, while allowing four hits to raise his record to 4-1 on the year.

Apprentice School returns to action on Wednesday facing College of Albemarle in a 3 pm game at War Memorial Stadium.
