Builders Drop 11-5 Decision To Nationally-Ranked Salisbury

SALISBURY, MD -- The Apprentice School baseball team dropped an 11-5 decision on Wednesday to NCAA Division III Salisbury University who entered the game ranked 21st in the country.

After falling behind 7-0 through four, the Builders plated a run in the fifth on a RBI single from Chris Kennedy that scored Chris Aldridge who started the inning with a single.  The Builders scored another run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly from Corey Gallaway to score Devorn Lake who reached on an error.

In the ninth, the Builders pushed across three runs with Aldridge blasting a home run to right field and Andrew Yonta drove in the final two with a single to score Ryan Wagner and Josh Wilson who each walked.

Kennedy was the leading hitter going 3-for-5, while Josh Tuck, Andrew Hooper and Aldridge had a pair of hits apiece for Apprentice School (4-5).

The Builders will next see action starting on Friday with a 1 pm doubleheader against NCAA Division III Tournament participant Castleton State College at War Memorial Stadium.
