Baseball Sweeps Castleton State With 14-3 Win

HAMPTON, VA. – The Apprentice School baseball team finished with a sweep of Castleton State by winning 14-3 on Saturday at War Memorial Stadium.

Zachary Harding had three doubles going 3-for-5 with five RBIs to lead the Builders who out-hit Castleton State 15-10.  Apprentice School scored six runs in the third to break it open leading 9-1 as Harding had a two-run double to lead the outburst. 

Andrew Hooper also had three hits for the Builders as Ryan Wagner and Devorn Lake chipped in with two hits apiece.  Chris Aldridge drove in three runs, while Wagner added a pair of RBIs.

The Builders now face Johnson & Wales University (RI) at 1 pm on Sunday in a single-game.
