HAMPTON, VA. – Zachary Harding's two-out walkoff triple in the bottom of the seventh scored Chris Aldridge with the winning run as the Apprentice School swept a doubleheader from St. Vincent's College taking the nightcap 3-2 after winning 4-2 in the opener.

With the wins the Builders have reeled off eight wins in a row to raise their record to 12-5 on the season.  Harding's walkoff hit was the first for the Builders since Ryan Wagner pulled the trick with a single against Mary Washington on May 1, 2009.

The Builders plated two in the bottom of the first of game two as Andrew Hooper singled in Wagner who started with a walk and Corey Gallaway followed with a single to score Andrew Yonta who had singled earlier in the inning.

St. Vincent's answered with a run in the fourth as Joe Aul's triple to center scored AJ Kavinsky.  In the sixth they tied it up on a double-steal as Aul stole home when Zack Galasso stole second.

In the seventh, following a ground out, Gallaway singled to left and was forced out on an Aldridge grounder.  Harding then ripped an 0-2 pitch to dead center field to score Aldridge for the winning run.

Harding, Hooper and Gallaway were 2-for-3 each in game two as the Builders out-hit St. Vincent's 8-4.  Coire Barnitz earned his second win of the year with three innings of one-hit relief and struck out three.

Apprentice School scored a run in the second of game one as Gallaway doubled and advanced to third on a sacrifice bunt from Aldridge before scoring on a Josh Wilson single.  The Builders pushed the lead to 2-0 as Aldridge doubled to start the inning and following a walk to Wilson advanced to third on a bunt single from Chris Scarola.  Following a strikeout, Chris Kennedy grounded out which forced out Trevin Wilson and allowed Aldridge to score.

St. Vincent's pushed a run across with the aid of a couple errors and a bases loaded walk to Aul.  In the sixth they tied the game as Jack Shaffer singled in Galasso who tripled to start the inning.

In the sixth, Aldridge tripled and scored as Chris Scarola's grounder to short was just enough to allow Aldridge to slide under an attempted tag at home.  Wagner followed with a single and Kennedy answered with another single up the middle to score Scarola for the 4-2 win.

Aldridge was 2-for-2 with two runs scored, while Andrew Hooper was 2-for-3 to lead the Builders.  Gallaway earned the win with 2.2 innings of two-hit relief while he struck out three.

These teams will close out the three-game series with a noon start for a nine-inning single game on Sunday.
