Builder Bats Fall Silent In 13-0 Loss At Mary Washington

FREDERICKSBURG, VA. – A day after an impressive Senior Night showing against Washington Adventist, the Apprentice School bats went silent as the Builders were held to four hits in a 13-0 loss at NCAA Division III power Mary Washington on Tuesday.

Apprentice School managed singles in the first (Josh Tuck), third (Chris Scarola), fourth (Ryan Wagner) and seventh (Chris Aldridge) against senior Parker Talbert who struck out 10 in pitching a complete-game shutout for the host Eagles. 

Mary Washington broke a 1-0 game open with four runs in the fifth and five runs in the seventh to take a 11-0 lead on a RBI single from Eric Rehbein.

The Builders will close out the regular season on Monday when they host Washington Adventist in a doubleheader starting at 2 pm at War Memorial Stadium.
