HAMPTON, VA. – The Apprentice School baseball team started a homestand on Wednesday afternoon with a huge test – NCAA Division III 6th-ranked Salisbury University and fell 20-0.
Sophomore Matt Zapf had a pair of hits as the Builders were out-hit 18-6. Fellow sophomore Chris Aldridge broke up a no-hit bid with a bunt single to start the fourth inning. Salisbury made the NCAA Division III World Series last year and went to 9-0 with the win.
Apprentice School returns home to face Rappahannock CC on Friday at 2 pm.
