Winter Weather Tweaks Apprentice School Schedules

Winter Weather Tweaks Apprentice School Schedules

Winter Storm Virgil has done a number to the athletic schedules of the Apprentice School Baseball and Golf teams already this week.

Golf saw the second round of the Immaculata Spring Invitational cancelled and the Builders took second place in the 12-team event.  Apprentice School carded a 309 total on Sunday to fall two strokes off the pace set by Albright University who ended at 307.  Sophomore Eric Johnston was second individually as he shot a one-over-par 72.

The golf team will return to action on Friday at Sleepy Hole Golf Course in Suffolk when they host Chowan University in a dual match.

On the baseball field, the Builders scheduled game at Mary Washington in Fredericksburg on Tuesday has been postponed due to snowy grounds.  No make up date has been set yet.

Also, the scheduled game with Bridgewater College on April 7 has been postponed due to Bridgewater having to make up a conference game on that day.  A make up date is in the works, but not set yet.

The next scheduled game is on Saturday when the Builders host in-state rival Southern Virginia University for a 1 pm doubleheader at War Memorial Stadium.
