Baseball Splits First Day In Florida

IN BRIEF: The Apprentice School baseball team opened action in Vero Beach, Florida on Thursday by splitting a pair of games.  They defeated U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association member Rochester College (MI) 4-1 and then lost 11-0 to NCAA Division II University of Mary (ND).

BEHIND THE BOXSCORES:

Vs. Rochester – Javier Remigio, Lee Rossi and Christian Burton were all 2-for-3 with a RBI apiece as the Builders scored two in the first and two in the sixth for the win.  Chris Perry threw six innings to earn the victory, while Sam Massie closed the game for his third save of the year.

Vs. University of Mary – The Builders had seven hits in the game as Brock Harris was 2-for-3 against the Marauders.

NEXT GAMES – University of Mary/Hagerstown CC

The Builders have another pair of games on Friday as they face the Marauders again at 10 am followed by a 7pm game against Hagerstown CC.
