DuBois, PA - The 2018 USCAA All-American and End of Year Awards were announced at the Championship Banquet at the DuBois Country Club. The USCAA names more than 30 All-Americans, Player of the Year, Coach of the Year, and Student-Athlete of the Year. Congratulations to this year's winners.
Coach of the Year: Bryan Cave, The Apprentice School
After leading the Apprentice School baseball program for almost three decades, Bryan Cave is no stranger to success. He was one win away from this fourth 30 win season and lead his team to a 15-3 record in the month of March, including a 12-game win streak. He has won two USCAA Baseball National Championships with the most recent back in 2015.
Player of the Year: Maxwell Burcham, The Apprentice School
Maxwell Burcham was just shy of a .400 batting average in his 41 games played this season. He ranks in the top five of many USCAA statistical categories including; second in home runs (9), first in runs scored (50), first in total bases (98), and third in hits (60). He stole 18 bases this season and recorded 36 RBIs, ranking him ninth in steals and seventh in RBIs.
