Builders Defeat Gators for Fourth Straight Win

STORY: The Builders won their fourth and final game of the Hampton Roads Cup by a score of 9 to 4 over the Thomas Nelson Gators. Andrew Castine made his first start of the season for the Builders, and after giving up hits to the first two batters, he retired 12 straight to earn his first win of the season. Once again the Builders fell behind early in the first, but it did not take long for the Builders to establish their dominance in this game. The Builders scored 1 run in the first on a single from Cody Hendrickson and 3 runs in the third on a hit by Gevin Nixon, an error, and an RBI groundout by Cody Hendrickson. The Builders would build on their lead in the late innings, adding 4 runs across the 5th and 6th innings. The Builders have now won four straight games and are the winners of the 2019 Hampton Roads Cup.
