IN BRIEF: The cold weather couldn't cool down the Builders offense today, as the Builders defeated Stratford University by a score of 9 to 4. After a slow start the Builders found themselves in an early 4-1 hole. Paul Jones battled all afternoon on the mound, and the Builders broke through for a 5 run 5th inning. Maxwell Burcham drove in 2 runs with a single and Thomas Packert hit a 3 run homerun to give the Builders a 6 to 4 lead. Paul Jones pitched 6 strong innings for the Builders, before Capps, Winegrad and Packert would all go one inning to preserve the 9 to 4 Builder lead.
