GAME 1

IN BRIEF: Brian Fritzinger took the mound for the Builders and turned in a complete game effort that led the Builders to a 13 to 4 victory over the Gators of Pine Manor College. The Builders exploded offensively and took advantage of the Gators who struggled to throw strikes. 

Down 1 to 0 in the bottom of the 1st, the Builders unloaded for 5 runs in the inning. After two straight walks and a hit by pitch, Gevin Nixon singled to right field to bring the runners around. Later in the inning Mark Watts also picked up an RBI on a single to right field and the Builders were all over the Gators starter at the beginning of this game. The Builders took control of this game early and never let it get away. Brian Fritzinger threw a complete game and gave up 1 earned run and struck out 8 batters. 

The Builders added 3 runs in the 4th when Mark Watts scored on a fielders choice. Cody Hendrickson would then reach on an error and Brent Byrum would single to the shortstop to extend the Builder lead to 13 to 4. The Builders improved to 15-7 on the season with today's Game 1 victory.

GAME 2

IN BRIEF: William Capps was on the mound for the Builders in Game 2. The Builders picked up where they left off and went for the 3 game sweep of the Pine Manor Gators. A tight contest throughout, the Builders used a 5 run 5th inning to earn a 7-3 win. 

Just like in Game 1, the Gators jumped out to an early 1-0 lead that was very short lived. The Builders tied the game in the bottom of the 2nd when Thomas Packert doubled off the left field fence to begin the inning. Packert hit two doubles off of the fence today and closed out the game in the 7th on the mound. Packert would advance to 3rd base on a past ball and then score on the productive ground out by Jake Day. The Builders would take a 2-1 lead in the 3rd when Maxwell Burcham doubled and later scored on an error. The game would remain at 2-1 until the 5th. The Builders exploded for 5 hits and 5 runs in the 5th inning to take a 7-1 lead. Dalton Dye had 2 RBIs in the inning on a double to center field. 

The Builders pitching staff held the Gators in check in Game 2. William Capps pitched 4 innings and gave up 1 run. Paul Jones pitched two innings and gave up 2 runs, and Thomas Packert pitched 1 inning and gave up 0 runs. The Builders improved to 16-7 on the season and they swept the three game series from Pine Manor.
