Builders Rout Bobcats of Albany

Builders Rout Bobcats of Albany

IN BRIEF: It was a beautiful afternoon for baseball and a perfect day for the Builders to pick up their 8th straight win. Paul Jones took the mound for the Builders and did what he does best, win. Jones improved to 6-0 on the season with today's win as the Builders defeated Bryant and Stratton (Albany) by a final score of 17 to 3.

The Builders set off to a slow start as the Bobcats pitching held the Builder offense in check over the first four innings. As we entered play in the bottom of the 5th, the Bobcats led by a score of 2 to 0. The Builders only had two hits until the bottom of the 5th when the floodgates opened. The Builders exploded for 9 runs in the inning to take control of this game. The Builders weren't done either, they would add 1 more in the 6th and 5 more in the 7th on a grand slam from Maxwell Burcham

The Bobcats strung together a few early hits and seemed to be in control of things. The light switched and the Builders quickly regained momentum. Paul Jones settled into his groove to only give up 2 runs over 7 innings of work. The 9 run 5th inning was all it took for the Builders to defeat the Bobcats in this game. The Builders have now won 8 straight and improve to 18-7 on the season.
