Builders Sweep Bryant and Stratton (Albany)

GAME 1

IN BRIEF: The Builders took Game 1 of the Doubleheader and the second game of the series by a score of 12 to 4. The Builders were victorious last night as well against the Bobcats of Bryant and Stratton Albany. Brian Fritzinger picked up the win for the Builders, and the offense continued to stay hot to win their 9th game in a row.

The Builders continued their offensive tear in Game 1. The Builders jumped out to a 4 to 0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd. Thomas Packert deposited a 2 run Home Run into the parking lot behind left field. An RBI walk from Hunter Riss and a sac fly from Maxwell Burcham gave the Buidlers a 4 to 0 lead. The Bobcats scored one in the 4th but the Builders added four more in the bottom of the 4th. Thomas Packert cashed in for his second HomeRun of the game, this time a 3 run shot into the left field bullpen. 4 was the magic number in this game as the Builders added 4 more runs in the bottom of the 5th.

Brian Fritzinger improved to 2-0 on the season with today's win. Fritzinger pitched 5.2 innings, surrendering 4 runs (1 earned) and 3 strikeouts. GAME 2

IN BRIEF: The Builders swept the series with the Bobcats by winning this game 11 to 0. The Builders are now 20-7 and winners of 10 straight games. Luke Schanback picked up his 4th win of the season and Thomas Packert continued his hot day at the plate.

Both teams were held scoreless through the first 3 innings and it seemed like we were on our way to a rare pitchers dual. Luke Schanback held the Bobcats in check, but the Builders broke through for two runs in the bottom of the 4th on Thomas Packert's third home run of the day. Packert hit two home runs in Game 1 and continued his home run streak with a 2 run bomb in Game 2. The 2 run home run from Packert would lead to 11 unanswered runs over the next three innings.

The Builders held the Bobcats scoreless in this game. Luke Schanback pitched 5.0 innings, giving up no runs and striking out 1 batter. Tyler Winegrad would shut down the Bobcats in the 6th and Thomas Packert would get an inning of work and hold the Bobcats scoreless in the 7th.
