Builders Drop Game to Penn State DuBois

IN BRIEF: The Builders dropped a semi final matchup to PSU DuBois by a score of 6 to 3. The Lions took an early 2-0 lead and the Builders could never get out of the whole, despite making a few comeback attempts. Trailing 2 to 0 in the bottom of the 2nd, Jake Day singled to right to bring in a run and cut the lead in half. The Lions would add a run in the 4th and the 5th to take a 4 to 1 lead. The Builders mounted a threat in the bottom of the 5th but were only able to bring one run home. Maxwell Burcham's single scored Braden Lambert and the lead was cut to 4 to 2. 

Things would look bleak when the Lions tacked on two more runs to take a 6 to 2 lead. Thomas Packert's solo homerun in the 6th cut the lead to 6 to 3. In the 7th the Builders put two runners on base but were unable to bring them home and they had lost their first game since March 16th. Clay O'Brien took the loss in this game despite pitching three solid innings for the Builders. The Builders are still alive in the USCAA National Championship despite today's loss.
