Apprentice ends 3-game series with loss to Bloomsburg

Hampton, VA – Saturday marked the 3rd and final game of the weekend series between the Apprentice Baseball team and Bloomsburg University.  The Huskies won the first two, only allowing the Builders one run across the plate, so Coach Jones' team was looking to gain some positive momentum before heading down to South Carolina for a week of games.

The first two innings saw both pitchers take control, but in the 3rd inning, Bloomsburg struck first sending three players home to take the early lead, 3-0.  While Apprentice was able to garner some offense in the later innings, they could not get that hit to break their scoring drought.  Bloomsburg would take advantage and score again in the 6th inning, to go ahead, by what would be the final score, 4-0.

The Builders were led by Camden Weston who went 2-4 from the plate, along with Jack Daszkowski (1-3) and Maxwell Burcham (1-3).  Apprentice will now hop on a bus and head south to Myrtle Beach, SC where they will participate in the Ripken Spring Training experience.  Stay tuned to www.gobuilders.com for all game times and recaps.
