Baseball Eliminated From NSAC Tournament in Two One-Run Games

ETTRICK, Va. - The Apprentice School baseball team fell in two games this weekend at the New South Athletic Conference Tournament, both of which were by one run.

Friday saw the Builders drop a 2-1 game to MACU where the Builders were held to just three hits over the seven inning affair. The Mustangs struck for a pair in the bottom of the third before Caleb Russell brought home the Builders' lone run in the top of the fourth.

On Saturday, Apprentice jumped out to a 4-0 lead on top-seeded Salem, scoring single runs in the first, second, fourth and sixth, but the Tigers stormed back, scoring five runs in the sixth to take the lead and hold on in the seventh.

The Builders will now await the USCAA Small College World Series Bid Show tomorrow evening at 6:15 p.m. to see if their season will continue.
