For the third straight week, the Apprentice School football team earned a conference Player of the Week award from the Atlantic Central Football Conference.
Freshman quarterback Trey Tillman earned Co-Rookie of the Week honors after completing 19-of-30 for 234 yards and one touchdown in Apprentice School's 31-7 loss to Salisbury in his first collegiate start. Tillman is a freshman pipefitter apprentice from Chesapeake, Va. and Hickory High School.
He joins Johnathan Jones (Defensive vs. Greensboro) and Brock Bullock (Rookie vs. FDU-Florham) as ACFC award winners this season.
Apprentice School travels to third-ranked Wesley College for a 1 pm kickoff on Saturday, October 9.
