Apprentice School football senior Bryan Cain was named on Monday as the Co-Offensive Player of the Week by the Atlantic Central Football Conference office. He marks the fifth Builder to earn an honor from the conference office this season.
Cain, a senior from Baker, Louisiana, caught six passes for 110 yards and two touchdowns as the Builders fell 21-14 at LaGrange College in Georgia. His two touchdowns brought his season total to seven and are the most in a single season since 2007 when Travis Reid caught 13 touchdown passes.
The Builders now travel to Frostburg State University for a 1 pm kickoff against the Bobcats in the final ACFC contest. Apprentice School (2-5) returns home for its season finale on November 13 against Webber International University in the 61st annual Oyster Bowl.
