The Builder defense stepped up again in the second quarter forcing a fumble at the Frostburg 12.  Following a pass interference that put the ball at the Builder three, Virgin scored on a three-yard run to give Apprentice School a 19-7 lead with 57 seconds left in the half.

Frostburg cut the deficit in half on Volpe found Young on a 25-yard scoring pass that he caught off a deflection with four seconds left for a 19-13 Apprentice School lead at intermission.

In the third quarter, Anton Wade capped a five-play, 70-yard drive with a one-yard run with 9:26 left.  The extra-point attempt was blocked by Johnathan Jones and returned by Marlon Lane for a two-point conversion making the Builder lead 21-19.

Frostburg started its eventual game-winning drive with 7:25 left after the Builders attempt at a 37-yard field goal failed.  Volpe connected with Young on three passes during the nine-play, 69-yard scoring drive with the final one being the 26-yard strike with 3:15 left to put Frostburg ahead 25-21.
