NEWPORT NEWS, VA. -- Sophomore quarterback Torrance Moise was 19-for-28 for 288 yards and two touchdowns to earn Most Valuable Player honors as Webber International defeated The Apprentice School 40-7 in the 61st annual Oyster Bowl on Saturday.

Moise started his scoring with 5:42 left in the first quarter as he connected with Ricky Delancey on a 44 yard scoring pass to cap off a 68-yard drive.  Mason Prater's extra-point attempt put Webber (7-4) ahead 7-0.

The Builders got on the scoreboard through their special teams.  Senior Daniel Richmond blocked a 27-yard field goal attempt from Prater and sophomore Marlon Lane scooped it up and ran 85 yards to put the Builders on the board.  Nick Foor converted the extra-point attempt to tie the game 7-all with 2:47 left.

Moise then capped a 43-yard scoring drive with a 26-yard touchdown pass to Brayun Andrews to take a 13-7 lead with 11:05 left in the half. 

Apprentice School's (2-8) special teams unit came through again to close out the half as a 50-yard field goal attempt from Prater was blocked by James Lee to end the half 13-7.

Webber then rode the back of senior Taylor Atwood in the second half as he scored three touchdowns running for 77 yards in the final half.  He scored on a pair of one-yard runs and a two-yard run to sandwich a pair of Prater field goals from 41 and 30 yards out for the eventual 40-7 final score.
