Cain, Lee Named To D3 Senior Classic All-Star Game

Apprentice School football seniors Bryan Cain and James Lee will participate in the D3 Senior All-Star Classic game on Friday night at Salem Stadium in Salem, Va. This is the second year that the Builders have had a representative in the event as Mike Kinder played in last year's inaugural game.

Cain, the 2010 Atlantic Central Football Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Year and first team wide receiver selection, caught 55 passes for 773 yards and eight touchdowns this year.  His 55 receptions are the second most in school history, while his eight touchdowns are the third highest single season total and his 773 yards are the fifth highest single season total.  He is in the top three in the ACFC in receptions per game, receiving yards per game and touchdowns.  Cain had a season high 158 yards against Catholic.  Caught a season high nine passes against Frostburg State and had a season best two touchdowns against Catholic and LaGrange.

Lee, a first team All-ACFC selection at defensive line, had 45 tackles with 18 of those being for a loss this season.  He had six sacks to go along with three blocked kicks.  His 18 tackles for a loss set a school single season record while his three blocked kicks tied the single season mark.  He had two sacks against LaGrange and Frostburg State while accumulating 4.5 tackles for a loss at LaGrange and 3.5 tackles for a loss against Frostburg State and Greensboro.  Lee had a season high eight tackles in a road win at Southern Virginia.

Nearly 100 NCAA Division III players will participate in the All-Star game on Friday night at 7 pm which will be streamed over the internet at www.knoxivi.com.
