The 2014 Apprentice School football season kicks off on Saturday with a first-ever meeting between the Builders and the United States Merchant Marine Academy Mariners at Apprentice Field.
USMMA, from Kings Point, NY, are members of NCAA Division III and play in the Liberty League for football. They ended 2013 with a 4-4 record and lost their last three games.
Apprentice School looks to start 2014 on a solid note with the first of two home games to open the season. The Builders finished 2013 with a 1-9 record.
