Apprentice School Football Announces 2018 Football Schedule

2018 Football Schedule

The 2018 Apprentice School football schedule has been released which includes four home games and six away games.  The schedule includes three rematches from last season, five opponents that the Builders have not faced in over five years, and two first time opponents.  

On September 1st, the Builders will open the season on the road at Greensboro College with a 1:00 pm kickoff.  The Pride finished the 2017 season with a 1-9 overall record and a 0-7 record in the USA South Atlantic Conference.  The Builders topped the Pride 39-7 last season at home.

The following weekend, the Builders will host Ferrum College with a 1:00 pm kickoff.  The Panthers are members of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) and fininshed last season 8-2 overall, with a 5-2 conference record.  The Builders fell to the Panthers 40-20 at Ferrum last season. 

On September 15th, the team will travel to Washington, DC to take on the Gallaudet Collge Bison with a kickoff time of 1:00 pm.  The Bison finished last season 3-7 overall with a 3-4 conference record.  The Builders last played Galluadet in 2013 with the Bison topping The Apprentice School 38-14.  The Bison are members of the Eastern Collegiate Football Conference (ECFC).  

The Builders will be back on the road on September 22nd as they face LaGrange College in LaGrange, GA at 1:00 pm.  The Panthers are members of the USA South and finished the 2017 season with a 4-6 overall record.  This will be the third meeting between the two programs with the last meeting in 2011 where the Panthers topped the Builders 36-8 in Newport News.  

The last weekend in September the Builders travel to Longwood University with the kickoff at 1:00 PM.  This will be the first meeting between the two programs.  Longwood University is located in Farmville, VA.  

The month of October has the Builders traveling to Pittsburgh, PA to face Robert-Morris-Peoria Eagles on October 6th.  The game will take place on the campus the Univeristy of Pittsburgh.  Robert Morris-Peoria is located in East Peoria, IL.  

The Builders will be at home on October 13th as they take on Southern Virginia University and on October 20th as they face Community Christian College.  On October 13th, The Apprentice School Student Association annual homecoming ceremony will take place during halftime.  

The team will travel to Coppin State University on October, 27th with a kickoff time of 1:00 pm.  Coppin State is located in Baltimore, MD.  This will be the fourth meeting between the two programs with the Builders leading the series 2-1.  

The Builders will finish the regular season at home when they take on George Mason University on Saturday, November 3rd at 1:00 pm for Senior Day.  This will be the third meeting between the two program with the Builders leading the series 2-0.
