Builders Look to Bounce Back at Anna Maria

The Builders (2-1) head north to take on Anna Maria College (0-4) for a game on Saturday at 12:00 PM. The Amcats are coming off of a 38 to 0 loss to Rensselaer this past weekend. The Builders are coming off of a 50 to 13 loss to LaGrange College. It was a game that the Builders only trailed 19 to 13 at the half, but injuries and turnovers would be their downfall as the undefeated streak was broken. The Builders will look to right the ship against winless Anna Maria. 

Head Coach John Davis had this to say on the upcoming matchup. "Every week as a program we have a goal to go 1-0. Our young men have worked extremely hard this week and they are looking forward to the challenge of traveling to MA and playing Builder Football."

The Amcats are led by sophomore Quarterback Alex Cohen. Cohen has 6 touchdowns and 2 interceptions this season but the Builders are hoping that number shifts in the interception category. The Builders are coming off of a day where the broke a school record for turnovers forced (6). Keilah Dupree recorded 2 interceptions, De'Von Hancock one interception, Isaiah Washington returned an interception for a touchdown, Josh Lucas recoverd a fumble and Kareem Wilson forced a fumble. 

Offensively, the Builders are led by Trevon Hatch, 94 rush yards per game, Cruyff Fleurine, 8 receptions, 154 yards, 2 touchdowns and Mason Tatum, 606 passing yards, 5 touchdowns. The Builders will look to get their passing game rolling again this week against the Amcats who are giving up an average of 387 yards per game. Kickoff against the Amcats is set for 12:00 pm on Saturday, October 5th.
