A former two-time second team All-Atlantic Coast Conference lineman for Virginia Tech, Brooks starts his college coaching career as the Offensive Line Coach for the Builders in 2014.

Brooks played for the Hokies from 2008-11 and was a member of two ACC Championship teams.  His senior season saw the Hokies rise as high as #5 in the national rankings and he finished his career with a start against Michigan in the Sugar Bowl.  In his four years, the Hokies were 42-13 and played for the ACC Championship in three of those seasons.

A Denbigh High School graduate, Brooks played for current inside linebackers coach Tracy Harrod.  He was a second team All-State Group AAA at offensive guard and scored a touchdown as a fullback in his final game for Denbigh.
