Balanced Builders Blast Johnson & Wales 84-65 In Miami

MIAMI, FLA. - Senior Fred Spratley scored 17 points to lead five in double figures for the Apprentice School over Johnson & Wales 84-65 in a U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association matchup on Saturday afternoon.

The Builders raced out to a 43-24 halftime advantage and saw the lead grow to as much as 25 points in the second half, before the Wildcats cut the lead back to the 19-point advantage.

Sophomore Arbry Butler added 16 points, while junior Jason Arrington chipped in 14, senior Eric Ruffin had 12 points and six assists and freshman Isaih Harrison had another double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Apprentice School (10-11) will now travel to Buena Vista for a rematch with Southern Virginia University on Wednesday night.  These teams faced off on January 27 as the Builders took an 87-75 victory.
