BUENA VISTA, VA. -- The Apprentice School rallied from a 20-6 deficit at the start of the game to make things interesting, but couldn't get over the hump as the Builders fell 70-53 at USCAA rival Southern Virginia University on Wednesday night.
Senior Eric Ruffin was the game-high scorer with 20 points to be the lone Builder in double figures. Ade Swann scored 17 points to pace four Knights in double figures. SVU extracted a little revenge for an 87-75 victory on January 27 in Newport News.
The Builders will now travel to Washington, DC on Saturday to face the University of District of Columbia Firebirds in a 3 pm start. UDC defeated the Builders 79-75 on January 15 in Newport News.
