NEWPORT NEWS, VA. - Senior Fred Spratley scored a career-high 33 points to lead five players in double figures for the Apprentice School as they cruised to a 92-55 win over U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association rival Columbia Union College Monday night on Senior Night for the Builders.

The visiting Pioneers opened the game scoring nine of the first 11 points as an Ade Adetosoye layup with 17:16 left gave Columbia Union a 9-2 lead.  Apprentice School then scored the next 12 points to take a 14-9 advantage on a Spratley layup with 12:34 remaining.

After trading buckets for a couple minutes, the Builders proceeded to begin the rout with a 21-2 run over a 7:39 span.  The Builders ended the run scoring 13 straight points to take a 37-17 lead on an Arbry Butler dunk with 3:17 remaining.

In the second half the lead stayed in the 15-23 point range for the first eight minutes before the Builders expanded it on the strength of a 16-2 run over a 4:18 span with a Spratley tipin putting the lead at 69-37 with 8:13 left.
