Builders Put Away Pesky Davis College 92-76

ELIZABETH CITY, NC – Senior Isaih Harrison scored 31 points and hauled in 19 rebounds to pace four in double figures as the Apprentice School held off a pesky Davis College (NY) Falcons for a 92-76 win in the Mid-Atlantic Christian University Showcase on Friday night.

The Builders went on a 22-8 spurt over a near seven minute span to take a 27-15 lead on a pair of Harrison free throws with 8:42 left.  Davis cut the lead down to five with 1:29 left as Dexter Terry put in a missed free throw cutting the deficit to 41-36. 

In the second half, Davis went on a 12-5 run to cut a nine-point halftime deficit down to 57-55 on  Jay Carlisle 3-pointer with 13:46 left.  From there, the Builders went on a 16-4 run over the next 4:59 to lead 73-59 on a Harrison layup with 8:47 left.

Freshman Johnnie Ferebee and senior Tim Johnson scored 11 points each for Apprentice School, while freshman Lavontae Thomas chipped in with 10 points.  Apprentice School closes out the MACU Showcase facing Florida Christian College in a 3 pm game pitting the only teams to be 2-0 so far in the tournament.
