SUMTER, SC – The Apprentice School men's basketball team couldn't overcome a 27.5% field goal shooting mark in the first half and fell at NAIA Division I Morris College 80-74 on Saturday afternoon.
Senior Isaih Harrison had 17 points and 18 rebounds, while junior Tevin Andrews added a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds as the Builders out-rebounded the Hornets 58-46. Freshman Johnnie Ferebee chipped in 14 points as well for the Builders.
Apprentice School trailed 40-33 at the half after hitting 14-of-51 from the floor while the hosts were 13-of-31 (41.9%). In the second half, the Builders did warm up hitting 15-of-36 (41.7%) though the Hornets were hotter at 16-of33 (48.5%).
The Builders look for a split in South Carolina as they face Voorhees College on Sunday afternoon in a 2 pm tip.
