TAKOMA PARK, MD. – The Apprentice School men's basketball team fell victim to a blistering Washington Adventist University on Senior Night for the Shock and lost 114-91 on Saturday night.

Washington Adventist, a NCAA Division II program, honored its seven seniors with a night hitting 63% from the floor, 73% from 3-point range (8-11) and was a perfect 13-of-13 from the foul line en route to a 65-50 halftime advantage.

The Builders cut the lead to nine twice in the second half, the latest coming on a Johnnie Ferebee layup with 17 minutes left at 67-58.  Washington Adventist then scored nine of the next 11 points to push the lead back up to 16 points on a Marcus Coleman jumper with 13:42 left for a 76-60 advantage.

Tevin Andrews topped the Builders in scoring with 21 points and seven rebounds, while Lavontae Thomas added 19 points and Isaih Harrison had 18 points and 12 rebounds.  The Builders hit 51.4% from the floor (36-70) and were out-rebounded 37-31.

WAU was topped by Daray Hill with 26 points, while Jamie Newton, Brandon Washington and Marcus Coleman had 22 points each.  The Shock ended hitting 64.4% from the floor (38-59), 57.9% from 3-point range (11-19) and 27-of-34 from the foul line (79.4%).

The Builders return to the home hardwood on Monday night to face University of Maine-Fort Kent in a 7 pm tip.
