NEWARK, NJ – Sophomore Lavontae Thomas scored 17 points to lead three in double figures on Saturday night as the Apprentice School knocked off Berkeley College (NJ) 92-78 in a U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association game played at New Jersey Institute of Technology.
Freshmen Jay Melendez (13 pts/9 rebs) and Cameron Perry (12 points) were next in line scoring for the Builders who hit 50% from the field. They out-rebounded Berkeley 62-38 as Tevin Andrews topped the Builders in rebounding with 13.
Apprentice School (5-4) now visit Kissimmee, Florida on Friday to participate in the Florida Christian College Holiday Classic where they'll open with the hosts at 8 pm on Friday night.
