KISSIMMEE, FLA. -- Tevin Andrews scored 22 of his 31 points in the second half as Apprentice School slowly pulled away for an 84-73 win over Florida Christian College in the opening night of the FCC Holiday Classic in Kissimmee.

After trailing the Builders 34-32 advantage at half, the Suns tied it up to start the second half on a layup from Alex Sanchez.  Apprentice School (6-4) responded with a Latrone Demiel 3-pointer and never relinquished the lead.  It grew to as much as 15 points on an Andrews layup with 6:32 left for a 70-55 advantage, but the hosts cut it to five on two occasions with the last being on an AJ Williams jumper to trail 74-69 with 2:12 left.

Down the stretch, the Builders used a 3-point play from Jay Melendez with 64 seconds left to push the lead back to 79-69 and were never headed.  That was in the midst of a 6-0 spurt in 77 seconds which pushed the lead to 80-69 after a free throw from Darrell Fenton with 55 seconds left.
