TAKOMA PARK, MD. – Harvey Todd scored 20 points to lead four in double figures for Washington Adventist University as the Shock held off the Apprentice School for a 76-65 win on Saturday night.

The Builders only held a 2-0 lead early on a Tony Walton layup just nine seconds into the game, but the Shock responded with a 16-5 run to lead 16-7 on a Lee Manley layup with 15:17 left.  Washington Adventist pushed the advantage to 14 points on a Todd free throw with 7:05 left to lead 34-20.  The Builders chopped that margin back to four points on a Johnnie Ferebee jumper with 94 seconds left for a 41-37 margin.

In the second half, the Builders tied the game on a Darrell Fenton layup with 16:29 left at 47-all, but from there that was it as Washington Adventist methodically pulled away for the win.

Ferebee was the leading scorer for the Builders with 18 points and six assists, while Fenton added 14 points and Tevin Andrews chipped in 13 for Apprentice School (10-6).  The Builders return to the home floor on Friday night for the opening night of the Martin Luther King Classic when they face Barber-Scotia College at 8 pm.
