Builders End Season With 81-70 Win Over Victory

UNIONTOWN, PA. – The Apprentice School closed out its 2012-13 season on Thursday morning with a convincing 81-70 win over Victory University in the 2013 U.S. Collegiate Athletic Association Men's Division I National Championships at Penn State Fayette.

A quick start for the Builders propelled them as senior Duane Douglas hit a layup with 12:06 left to put them up 18-3.  The lead grew to 19 points with 4:05 left as Johnnie Ferebee hit a pair of free throws to lead 37-18.

In the second half, the Eagles made a bit of a run trimming the 15-point halftime deficit to 12 on a Chris Downey 3-pointer to trail 47-35 with 17:26 left.  The Builders pushed the lead back to 22 points at 76-54 on a Zach Zastrow 3-pointer with 5:49 left.

Senior Tevin Andrews was the leading scorer for the game with 27 points and 16 rebounds, while Darrell Fenton and Ferebee added 12 points each.  The Builders (17-10) out-rebounded Victory 55-44 as Andrews had 16 and Douglas hauled in 10 boards in their final collegiate appearances.

Keron Jackson topped Victory with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Jordan Miles added 13 points and scoring 11 each were Chris Downey and Raphael Banal.
