ON THE COURT: A red-hot Virginia Wesleyan Marlin squad jumped out to a 12-0 lead early in the contest and scored a 103-68 win over The Apprentice School on Tuesday night at the Batten Center on the VWC campus.

The Marlins used consecutive 3-pointers from Cameron Owens to take the 12-0 lead barely three minutes into the game.  Apprentice School responded with a 10-2 run over a 2:32 span to trim the margin to 14-10 after a pair of Jamal Curry jumpers.

Curry was the leading scorer for the Builders with his third straight double-double scoring 22 points and hauling in a game-high 11 rebounds.
