Second Half Run Leads Builders Over Mechanics 73-59

MEDIA, PA. – Freshman DeAndre Demiel scored 18 points and senior Johnnie Ferebee scored all 17 of his in the second half as the Apprentice School went on a 27-5 run early in the second half to pull away from Williamson Trade for a 73-59 win on Sunday afternoon.

The host Mechanics held held a 36-31 lead at the half and pushed the lead to nine points at the 16 minute mark before the Builders erupted on the 27-5 run to take a commanding lead.

Joining Demiel and Ferebee in double figures was senior Jamal Curry with 12 points, 10 rebounds and two blocked shots and junior Jay Melendez with 10 points.  Demiel and five assists and four steals with his 18 points and Ferebee had five assists and three steals.

Williamson Trade was paced by Samir Inge with 12 points and Keron Tull with 10.

The Builders (15-9) close out the season on Monday afternoon at 4pm hosting Central Penn College.  This is a makeup of a game scheduled on Jan. 25.
