Men's Basketball Dominates Owls

The Apprentice School had 3 players score at least 20 points as they cruised to a road EMAC win over Warren Wilson College by a score of 98-77. With the win, the Builders moved to a 12-10 overall record and are 4-1 in the EMAC.  

ON THE COURT:

Similar to the first game against the Owls, the Builders built a commanding double-digit half-time lead and were able to play all 10 players significant minutes. Offense was the story of the game, as The Apprentice School shot a blistering 53.2% from the floor and knocked down 39.1% of their 3-point attempts against the Owls zone defense.

BEHIND THE BOX SCORE:

  • The twin tours of Drew Walton and Marion Moore dominated the game and played a key role in the victory. Walton secured another double-double with 26 points and 16 rebounds, while Moore had 23 points and 15 rebounds. 
  • Brandon Joyner had the touch from 3 and hit an efficient 6 of 8 to pour in 22 points. 
  • Corey Joyner did a tremendous job of locating his teammates and finished with 8 assists.
  • Sam Morris provided quality minutes and knocked down two 3-pointers and had 7 points. 
  • The Builders used their trademark deep bench and saw positive contributions from all 10 players who dressed.
