NEWPORT NEWS - Nine Apprentice School basketball players were named to the New South Athletic Conference All-Academic Team Friday by the league office.

On the women's side, Jamica Jones, NeOndra Kelly, Ashawnti Williams and Nyla Jackson earned the academic honor.

On the men's side, Jayden Eason, Shawn Eley, Clifton Goode, Caleb Mielewski and Climente Riddick met the criteria for the award.

To be a member of the NSAC All-Academic Team, players must maintain a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or higher.
