Kee Named NSAC Coach of the Year

NEWPORT NEWS - The Apprentice School men's basketball coach Evan Kee was named the New South Athletic Conference Coach of the Year, the league office announced Tuesday.

In his fourth season at the helm, Kee has led Apprentice to an 18-7 regular season mark, the most wins since 2003-04, including a perfect 11-0 in conference play. The Builders are currently ranked fourth in USCAA Division I, and are No. 1 in field goal percentage, No. 2 in rebounding and No. 7 in blocks and forced turnovers.

Kee also guided two players onto the NSAC All-Conference Team this season, including NSAC MVP Shawn Eley. His squad has earned the top-seed in this weekend's NSAC Tournament.

The Builders will take to the floor against either Blue Lights or Carolina Christian on Saturday at 4 p.m.
