NEWPORT NEWS - The Apprentice School men's basketball player Shawn Eley was voted to the Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State Second Team Wednesday, the association announced.

Eley joins 10 other Builders all-time to earn VaSID honors with the most recent being Drew Walton after the 2019-20 season.

The senior led Apprentice to a national semifinal appearance, averaging 15.3 points per contest. He shot over 50 percent from the floor on the season and led the team in rebounding with 7.5 boards per contest.
