Golf Team Finishes Tenth In Glenn Heath Shipbuilders Memorial

Final Round Results

WILLIAMSBURG, VA. – The Apprentice School golf team shot a final round 347 on Tuesday to finish in tenth place with a 672 total in the Glenn Heath Shipbuilders Memorial Tournament at the Ford’s Colony Marsh Hawk Golf Course.

Christopher Newport University took the team title with a final round 300 for a 597 two-day total.  Lynchburg College Red was second with a final round 301 for a 606 total, while Averett University was third with a 300 on its final round for a 610 total.

Conrad Anguera was the medalist from Lynchburg College as he shot a three-under-par 141 for two days ending with a two-under-par 70.  Joseph Evans, III of CNU was second at even-par 144 and a 72 on Tuesday, while CNU’s Chris Martin was third with a 70 on Tuesday for a one-over-par 145 total.

Daniel Campbell was the low man for the Builders on Tuesday with his second round of five-over-par 77 for a 154 total to finish in 14th place. Wade Traynham was next for the Builders with an 88 for a 165 total to finish in a tie for 37th place.

The Apprentice School Gold team was in 14th place with a 792 total for the event.  Leading that team was Kyle Center with a two-day total of 185 to finish in a tie for 59th place.

The Builders will next participate in the Danville Community College Invitational on April 17.
