Golfers Finish Second At Builder Fall Invite

 

SUFFOLK, Va. - The Apprentice School golf team shot a combined 331 over a blustery Sleepy Hole Golf Course on Friday to finish second in the Builder Fall Invite.

NCAA Division II Chowan University took home the team title with a 320 score, followed by Apprentice School Gold, Virginia Wesleyan College was third with 343 and Apprentice School Maroon was fourth with 391.

The low score for the Builders on Friday was freshman Michael Hastings with an eight-over-par 80 to come in third.  Right behind him was junior Wade Traynham and senior Ryan Sweet with 82's to be tied for fourth place.  Chowan's Cliff Forbes was the medalist with a two-over-par 74.

Next up for the Builders will be the Tom Kinder Memorial on September 19-20.

APPRENTICE SCHOOL MAROON: Saunders 94, Carlson 92, Center 102, Bourguet 103, Henger 105.
