Golfers Finish 13th At Hampden-Sydney Invitational

 

Farmville, Va. - The Apprentice School golf team carded a final round 362 on Tuesday and came in 13th place at the Hampden-Sydney Invitational held at The Manor in Farmville.

Junior Wade Traynham was the low man for the Builders in the final round with an 87 to lead the team finishing in a tie for 37th place with a 173 total.  Fellow junior Daniel Campbell was next in line coming in 39th place with a two-day total of 175.

With a lower fifth-man score, Christopher Newport University broke  a three-team tie for the team championship with Hampden-Sydney and Randolph-Macon College.  CNU carded the low round on Tuesday with a 314 for a 649 total.

Next up for the Builders will be the Shenandoah University Invitational starting Sunday in Winchester, Va.
