Golf Team Opens Spring Season With Tough Dual Match With Louisburg College

LOUISBURG, N.C. – The Apprentice School golf team opened its spring schedule on Monday with a dual match against Louisburg College and lost 298-322 at Bull Creek Golf & Country Club.

Freshmen Ben Hunter, Kyle Mutter and senior Daniel Campbell each shot 79 to lead the Builders while senior Wade Traynham shot an 85 to combine for the 322 round.  Louisburg was topped by medalist Julio Gonzalez with a 72 and Trent Becker with a 74 on the par-72, 6,400-yard course.

Apprentice School will next see action on the links March 5-6 at the Virginia Wesleyan Marlin Invitational in Virginia Beach, Va.
