Golf Sits Third After Day One Of Marlin Invitational

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. – The Apprentice School golf team shot a 311 on Saturday to sit third after day one of the Marlin Invitational at Virginia Beach National.

Freshman Ben Hunter leads the tournament with a two-under-70 to take a three-shot lead heading into Sunday's final round.  Lynchburg leads the event at 308, with Randolph-Macon at 309 followed by the Builders in the eight-team event.

Wade Traynham was next in line for the Builders with a 77, followed by Kyle Mutter (79), Daniel Campbell (85) and Will Smith (94).

Sunday's final round will begin at 9 am.
